Melee is a proficiency combat skill and determines how well a player fights. In Shards Online, melee ability directly correlates to hit chance regardless of what weapon is being used. Melee skill also provides a slight bonus to the ability to parry attacks. It is currently composed of three weapons types: Bashing, Piercing, and Slashing. Each of these weapon types is a combat specialization skill.
